The main process flow of the Tomato production line includes raw material cleaning, crushing, juice extraction, concentration, sterilization, packaging and other steps. Here are the steps of the Tomato production line detailed process:


1. Raw material reception and cleaning

Goal: Ensure that there are no soil, pesticide residues and other impurities on the tomato surface to prepare for subsequent processing.

Equipment:

Automatic conveyor system: used to convey tomatoes from containers to the production line.

Tomato cleaning machine: Cleans tomatoes through water flow, air flow, etc. to remove surface impurities and pesticide residues.

Spray cleaning system: Use a water gun to spray and clean the tomato surface to ensure cleanliness.


2. Peel and crush

Purpose: Peel the tomatoes and break the tomato pulp into small pieces to prepare for subsequent juice extraction and concentration.

Equipment:

Peeling machine: After being treated with hot water or steam, the tomato skin will fall off naturally, reducing the cost of manual peeling.

Crusher: Crush peeled tomatoes, usually using a blade that rotates at high speed to break up the tomato pulp.


3. Juicing and separation

Purpose: Extract juice from tomato pulp and remove pomace to obtain pure tomato juice.

Equipment:

Juicer: Juices tomato pulp through mechanical pressure or hydraulic system to separate the juice and pomace.

Centrifuge: For some high-viscosity tomato juice, the centrifuge can further remove the remaining pomace and ensure the clarity of the juice.


4. Concentrate

Goal: Concentrate tomato juice by evaporating water into a thick tomato concentrate that can be transported and stored.

Equipment:

Evaporator: Uses heat to evaporate the water in tomato juice and concentrate it to the desired concentration. Commonly used evaporation equipment include single-effect evaporator and multi-effect evaporator.

Thin film evaporator: suitable for high-viscosity tomato concentrate, which can maintain the color and nutrients of tomato juice.


5. Sterilization treatment

Goal: Eliminate harmful bacteria and pathogenic bacteria in tomato products and ensure the food safety of the products.

Equipment:

Pasteurizer: By heating to a certain temperature (usually 60-85°C), maintaining it for a certain period of time, and then cooling it rapidly, the sterilization effect is achieved.

Ultra-high temperature sterilization (UHT) equipment: For tomato juice and tomato concentrate with a long shelf life, higher temperatures (above 135°C) are used for sterilization.


6. Cooling and storage

Purpose: Cool the sterilized tomato juice or concentrate to a suitable temperature to prepare it for packaging.

Equipment:

Cooling system: Use a cooler or heat exchanger to quickly cool the product to prevent excessive temperature from affecting taste and quality.

Storage tanks: Liquid tomato products usually need to be stored in stainless steel tanks or other food-grade containers before packaging to ensure sanitary conditions.


7. Packaging

Purpose: Pack sterilized tomato products into different specifications for sale.

Equipment:

Automatic filling machine: used for automatic filling of liquid products such as tomato juice and tomato paste. It can quickly and accurately package liquid products into bottles, cans, bags and other packaging containers.

Sealing machine: ensure the sealing of packaging containers, prevent air from entering, and extend the shelf life of products.

Labeling machine: Automatically labels packaged products to facilitate product tracking and sales.
