Raw material receiving and sorting

Fruit Receiving: Receive fresh citrus fruits (oranges, tangerines, lemons), check quality, and sort according to size, ripeness and condition.

Sorting and Cleaning: Fruit is sorted through an automated system and thoroughly cleaned using high-pressure water spray to remove dirt, pesticides and other contaminants.

Peeling and extraction (for juice production)

Peeling: Mechanical peeling removes the outer skin, especially when juicing. In some cases, the peel can be retained to extract the essential oil.

Juicing: The peeled fruit is then passed through a juicer, effectively extracting fresh juice. For citrus and oranges, the juice can be extracted using screw press or belt pressing techniques.
Pulp separation and clarification

Pulp separation: Separating the juice from the pulp using a centrifugal separator or screening system. For clear juice, remove the pulp for a smooth consistency.

Clarification: To obtain a higher quality juice, the product may go through a clarification process to remove remaining particles and solid residues, ensuring the product is clear.

Concentration (optional)

Concentration Process: In some cases, juice can be concentrated by evaporating water. The concentration process ensures that the juice is easier to store and transport.

Vacuum evaporator: A vacuum evaporator can be used to concentrate juice while retaining its flavor and aroma.

Pasteurization

Heat Treatment: To extend shelf life and ensure the safety of the juice, the juice goes through a pasteurization or UHT (ultra-high temperature) process that kills any harmful bacteria or pathogens.

Flash pasteurization: Flash pasteurization is often used to process juices at high temperatures in a short period of time to achieve higher quality and nutrient retention.

Essential oil extraction (optional)

Cold Pressing: For citrus oils, such as orange or lemon oil, the essential oil can be extracted by cold pressing the peel and is commonly used in the food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.

Filling and packaging

Filling: Based on market demand, juice or concentrate is filled into various packaging formats including bottles (glass or PET), cans or sachets.

Sealing: After filling, containers are sealed to ensure product freshness and prevent contamination.

Capping and labeling: Automatic capping machines seal the containers, and labeling machines apply product labels, barcodes, and brands.

Final inspection

Quality Control: Checking the final product for consistency, flavor, packaging integrity and labeling accuracy. An automatic detection system ensures only high-quality products are released.
